Configure Yahoo Mail
to come directly into your main mailbox

**Pay accounts only - does NOT work for free Yahoo accounts**

As of April 24, 2002 Yahoo will charge for forwarding and POP3 access
to Yahoo Mail.  If you do not have a paid mail account you will have to
read your Yahoo mail from the Yahoo website or in your Yahoogroups messages.

I offer the tutorials freely to you for learning purposes.  I hope you find them useful.  As always, proceed at your own risk.  Read through it first to see if you understand it and always follow them word for word, step by step.  Do not rush or skip any steps.  I am only responsible for 'my' errors. *S*
The tutorials are for personal use only.  Please do not modify, redistribute in any manner, place in any collections on websites or CD's for profit or otherwise, link to, remove, or claim as your own any files from these pages.  If you'd like to refer to any of the tutorials, please just provide a link or email me for permission to use the entire tutorial.  All tutorials and graphics were created by me unless otherwise stated.  It's perfectly ok, and encouraged, to share the link with friends who might find them useful.

This is a rather long tutorial, so I've broken it up into 3 pages.  Take a little break at the end of each page......stretch your legs, have a cup of coffee or glass of soda and relax.  *S*  The bottom line:  don't get stressed when doing tutorials.  I guarantee you'll make mistakes......I sure do!

You must have a YahooID to do this tutorial.  You can't access Yahoo mail without one now.  **Note**  Some ISP's do not allow you to configure more than one account.  I also have a few friends with slower connections that had downloading errors after setting up multiple accounts.  Again, proceed at your own risk.

1. Go to www.yahoo.com and click on the Check Email icon at the top of the page and sign in with your YahooID and password.

2. On the upper right side of your screen, click on Mail Options.

3. Scroll down the Options page and click on "POP Access & Forwarding".

4. On the POP Access & Forwarding page, click in the 'circle' next to Web and POP Access. Under "When downloading new messages", I don't recomment you check the first option.  Good mail often gets labeled as spam by all ISPs.  Click Save in the lower left corner.

OK.......need a break?  Stretch, grab a soda and I'll see you on Part 2
